Foster Parent Appreciation Night

Beech Acres Parenting Center thanks all of our Foster Parents for the amazing things they do for children every day. Last night we celebrated and honored our families with dinner and dancing. Good times. Good people.

Foster Parent Appreciation Night

Each May, Beech Acres hosts a Foster Parent Appreciation Night to honor our foster parents.  These dedicated parents nurture our community’s most vulnerable children every day with little appreciation.  Their reward is the success of the children in their care.  For one evening, our parenting center offers dinner, an awards ceremony, music and dancing.  It’s a simple way of saying thanks and showing deep appreciation for the daily commitment to children.  Please thank all the foster parents you know.  We'll have some fun dancing tonight for

Foster Hope. Foster Change. Foster a Child.

May is National Foster Care Month. You can help foster hope, growth and change in our community by getting involved in Beech Acres Parenting Center’s movement to Foster Change for children.

While becoming a foster parent is the ultimate gift, there are many other ways to change the life of a child.  Tutors and mentors are always needed. Gift certificates for supplies such as baby formula, cribs, clothes, and school supplies are always in demand.  Scholarships are needed to provide a chance that they can achieve the higher education they deserve.

100% Graduate

Beech Acres Parenting Center is celebrating a great success story. 11 of our foster children graduated from High School this year - that’s 100% of our seniors!

HCJFS Changes - we can answer questions

HCJFS recently announced that they would no longer be licensing foster homes. All homes that currently licensed by them will need to transfer to other agencies in the next few months. We know that this process may be hard to make for some foster parents. Please call us so that we can answer your questions and make your decision easier. Gloria Milord can be reached at 233-4835 or Julie Knueven at 233-4830.

Wonderful Foster Parents

I say to people all the time, “you would make wonderful foster parents.” They give me a strange look and laugh. They may think I’m crazy, but I’m totally serious.Seriously consider giving your heart to just one more child. Consider being a family to someone who does not have a family that they can return to. Consider being a coach to a parent who needs support.
